Due to high price pressure within the fashion industry, retailers are permanently looking for low-cost production locations. Myanmar, which recently opened its economy and is stressing for political reforms, becomes attractive as a manufacturing base for labor intensive industries. Tishat Ltd., a new garment sourcing agency in Myanmar, which offers reliable, fast and high quality sourcing services wants to become one of the first players in the market and by benefiting from its first mover advantage. The following thesis contains a country analysis, which illustrates the risks and benefits of doing business in Myanmar. Furthermore, an operational plan is elaborated in order to present the main activities of the company. Finally three different scenarios are presented in order to introduce a final recommendation.

Obtaining a visa to study abroad is a complicated process associated with a lot of stress for students. The uncertainty of not having all the necessary documents or all forms filled out in the correct way leads to a real risk of not receiving the visa in a timely matter or even at all. SimplyVisa is a business proposal that focuses on solving visa application problems for American students by providing them with all the required information and support in order to save them time and stress. We offer a wide range of services from simple application checks to covering the entire process beginning-to-end. In the first years SimplyVisa will focus on providing this service for US students who desire to study in Barcelona. We found that the Spanish market has the most attractive features for our business; however, in the future this business model could be exported to other countries./nThe following thesis contains an external analysis of the United States, Spain, and the International Higher Education industry they share, which illustrates the attractiveness of doing our business between these two countries. Moreover, the business plan highlights a detailed marketing and operational strategy about our planned activities. Finally our financial analysis examines three different scenarios to accurately forecast the possible financial future of our business.

EduCom is a social enterprise that focuses on providing quality early childhood education to impoverished areas in India. Education standards pose huge risks to the growth and sustainability of our world. More specifically, early childhood education from ages 0-6 is a grey area in education that is often completely underrepresented and vital in the successful development of human future. To combat this issue, EduCom locates its first project in India, working closely with the government to improve the public kindergarten system they currently have in place. After successful growth in Mumbai, EduCom aims to spread its business model throughout the country, improving the quality of education, raising awareness of health issues and documenting existing infrastructure. EduCom will ensure a brighter future through a positive impact on the development of future generations.

This business plan explores an opportunity for The Walt Disney Company to develop its presence in emerging countries through the expansion of its Disneyland Park to Brazil. The venture proposed would be a break-through for the company who has yet to have such close presence in similar markets. Perhaps a move against the odds, the successful expansion of Disneyland to Brazil will be a great accomplishment for the company and the country, who has been working tirelessly to keep up with developed nations. This business plan has the opportunity to show the world the potential of emerging countries, and as a result, open the door for many companies to invest in the potential offered by developing nations.

Ecobuild: Plastic Bricks for Sustainable Housing is centered around a proposed
new company, Ecobuild, which recycles plastic waste and processes it into bricks that
can be used to build sustainable houses. This project takes an existing technology,
which has already been proven successful as a business venture in other parts of the
world, and adapts it for launch in South Africa, followed by an international expansion
to Ghana and Mozambique. It presents itself on three fronts: first, as a new, low-cost,
and ecologically friendly way of building houses and closing the housing gap; second,
as a solution to the mounting waste management crisis in South Africa and across the
entire African continent, a pressing issue with dire health and safety consequences for
the general public; and third, as a solution to the housing crisis that has resulted from
rapid urbanization. The ultimate goal of this project is to create a positive social,
economic, and environmental impact in our locations, while also remaining profitable
and viable as a business.

EcoSalud is a non-profit organization that provides diagnostic imaging services to the citizens of Guatemala who do not have access to medical care. The company is comprised of trained sonographers who will travel to the rural, impoverished regions of Guatemala, providing free ultrasound examinations on pregnant women and citizens experiencing symptoms. In collaboration with Doctors Without Borders, EcoSalud's sonographers will act as scavengers by providing ultrasounds to as many citizens as possible and determining which patients need to be seen by a doctor for treatment. EcoSalud will also open an ultrasound clinic in its capital, Guatemala City, where scans will be offered at a very affordable price. Patients will be able to get appointments quickly, do not need a doctor's referral and will receive their results immediately.

3Drone is a drone start-up that combines the use of robotics in disaster relief management with strategy development to efficiently manage natural disasters according to real-time needs. We develop an innovative software built on 3D mapping technology that provides an automatic damage severeness analysis based on drone footage, with limited human interaction needed. Our final product is a 3D map that is created by comparing a 3D map from before the natural disaster to one created after the disaster. This way, property damage can be precisely assessed and evaluated, which both speeds up the insurance claim process for insurance companies and allows governmental organizations to prioritize affected areas in their emergency relief strategy. 3Drone saves lives, time and money.

This paper focuses on the expansion of the Catalan winery Castell d'Encús, into the highly competitive and regulated wine market of Norway. The business plan is focused around a margin strategy due to the winery ́s small size and unique characteristics which allow them to differentiate themselves through high quality and experimental wine. It provides a comprehensive analysis of the Norwegian wine industry which will be penetrated through the on-site HORECA market as this channel is exempted from the state- owned monopoly regulation as well as it represents a great opportunity for smaller wineries aiming for premium prices. An exclusive distributor agreement is selected as entry mode, where marketing plan as well as marketing expenses are to be jointly developed and shared. Specialized marketing activities we will used in order to establish as an experimental, authentic and high-quality brand in Norway.

UberECO is a collaborative, sustainable model focused on shared mobility, green energy, and self-driving technology. Our objective is to create a working model whereby Tesla would supply Uber with a fleet of electric, self-driving vehicles that Uber would deploy on public roads in urban communities via a new service offering that we have coined “UberECO.” Ourworld’s largest urban areas are plagued with various transportation-related issues, including a growing need for spontaneous transportation, restricted parking access, large-scale traffic congestion, and polluted air (e.g. high CO2 emissions). To date, no shared mobility company offers a viable form of transportation to consumers that provides a convenient, eco-friendly and cost-efficient solution to these problems. By merging the interests of Uber and Tesla, UberECO represents a business model focused on both shared mobility and green energy as a means of combating these issues.

The Sysav Group, based in Sweden, recycles and treats waste from households and businesses and transforms it into electricity and other recycled materials. This business plan offers an in depth justification, internal and external analysis, as well as road map for Sysav Group to incorporate a wholly owned subsidiary in Hyderabad, India. The subsidiary will use the parent company’s advanced waste-to-energy electricity generation process to produce electricity that will be sold to Indian intermediaries (distribution companies), which will then be retailed to local households and businesses around Hyderabad. “Over 377 million urban people live in 7,935 towns and cities and generate 62 million tons (MT) of municipal solid waste per annum. Only 43 (MT) of the waste is collected, 11.9 MT is treated and 31 MT is dumped in landfill sites” (Lahiry, 2019). Sysav will provide electricity to the local community and help reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfills in India, while simultaneously turning a profit within year 1.

This thesis focuses on the expansion of the American-Chinese restaurant chain ‘Panda Express’ from the United States into the Netherlands. The concept of Panda Express will be unique in the Netherlands: it will be the only chain that offers American-Chinese cuisine.
This business plan focuses on the feasibility of the expansion, both theoretically and practically. It provides a comparison between Dutch and American markets and exemplifies fields which are different and important to focus on, such as food regulation and consumer preferences. Furthermore, a practical approach identifies the more specific steps that need to be taken in order to get Panda Express off the ground in the Netherlands. Panda Express
will differentiate itself in the Dutch market by offering high quality food against relatively low prices. According to the research conducted in this thesis, the expansion of Panda Express into the Netherlands is feasible.

Master (Msc) in International Business. Master Thesis. Curs 2019-2020
Tutor: Manel Guerris
This Master Thesis develops a plan for the Snoezelen company to expand its business to Germany. Thereby a two-dimensional expansion is conducted: First a new geographic area, second a new scope of application: Workplace productivity and wellbeing. The marketing activities place a high focus on digital marketing, brand building and customer education. The market will be entered without direct collaborations, but to scale the business, a franchise model will be applied later on. As data is crucial for this expansion, another focus is drawn on legal issues.
We will start with a tight HR planning and gradually increase the workforce to cope with an increasing amount of clients. The financial plan shows that operating costs increase significantly during the first 5 years due to an increasing amount of clients. A 50 % equity, 50 % loan model is proposed, resulting from a financing need of about 600.000 EUROS

This Thesis project focuses on the expansion of the American sustainable apparel company Everlane into the German market. Everlane’s business is built around offering affordable, fair-trade clothing for men and women in a classic style with a transparent pricing model (which is a key differentiator in the fashion industry). This project starts by identifying the business opportunity, provides an in-depth analysis of the macro and micro environment, the study of the German market, and the local consumer preferences. Finally, it offers an actionable entry strategy including the supply chain management, the human resources and marketing plan, Corporate Social Responsibility, and a Contingency section to account for the potential impact of the COVID-19 crisis on the internationalization plan.
According to the research conducted during this project, the expansion of Everlane could be successful with a return on investment in Year 4.

A newcomer to the world of franchising, the Rafa Nadal Academy, a center for tennis instruction, has grown rapidly over a period of four years, expanding to three new locations in the world, adding to the success of their flagship academy in Mallorca, Spain. While the Academy presses forward with new projects, at present it does not have a standardized and replicable franchise model for expanding internationally. This business plan ties together a series of assessment tools and practical measures in an effort to achieve an employable franchise model ready for use in the Singapore market.
The project builds on the early experiences of the Academy’s locations established in Spain, Greece, Mexico, and Kuwait. It pulls together a series of good practices of the Academy and provides strength to some weak areas of the present business model. Finally, based on the research and financial modeling, this business plan concludes that Singapore is an ideal location for the next Rafa Nadal Academy.

This Master Thesis, develops a business plan for MyOats, which is the company that we have created here in Spain, to expand its business to Germany. The company aims to produce a 100 percent recyclable plant-based oat drink. We intend to create a company that is respectful of our planet by remaining as sustainable as possible in the manufacture and distribution of our products, in the knowledge that this is difficult when it comes to exporting. We have opted to solely produce oat milk, given that it is
the vegetable beverage that we can produce in the most sustainable way.
Our competitive advantage in a fragmented market is to be the first company in Germany selling plant-based dairy products in glass bottles. By entering the German market through a distributorship we achieve to gain a foothold in the FMCG industry and we will be part of a big movement towards more
sustainable food consumption.

In this paper, the IBC Solar solar energy company from Germany will internationalize to Canada. The focus of this paper is the feasibility of expansion and a more feasible initial expansion strategy. In terms of feasibility, this plan analyzes the external conditions of the Canadian market, while giving examples of areas that need attention, such as the increasingly fierce competition in the solar market.
In terms of expansion strategy, after initially planning the expected market share, we started with a detailed and comprehensive marketing strategy and gradually planned for human resources, and improved the company's talent attraction by maintaining the unique friendly working environment from BluEarth. In the financial plan, taking into account the huge initial capital investment of the solar energy company, we proposed 50% of the equity of IBC Solar's German parent company, 50% of the loan model, and a financing demand of 75 million Canadian dollars.

Vemini is an Italian company that assembled a biometric device for the hand palm scanning that provides its users with a decentralized digital identity. The product enables people to perform different actions in real life: payments, house access, car access and signature of documents. Vemini aims to redefine the paradigm of authentication for the Internet of things. In the language of information technology “authentication” stands for the action of verifying and proving the identity of users. The specific product we will discuss in this section is our Point-of-Sales Terminal. Vemini provides a
solution designed to redefine the paradigm of the payment system by providing a cardless and deviceless solution powered by our core decentralized biometric authentication (the hand palm). This business plan aims to evaluate risks and possibilities related to the approach of our company to the Singaporean market. Thanks to our new technology totally developed in house and the tech-friendly mindset of asian countries, we want to be the most efficient Biometric company in Asia for two reasons: our reliable device and our versatile use cases. Imagine an interconnected world where a unique, trusted and interoperable identity allows you to access any space, to pay, or secure what you love. We are creating this world.

Master (Msc) in International Business. Master Thesis. Curs 2021-2022
Tutor: Andrew Coles
The combustion of fossil fuels, which are the largest source of atmospheric pollution, acts as the epicenter to the climate crisis within the 21st century. Whilst anthropogenic emissions soar alongside exponentially increasing populations, particularly within developing countries, the demand for energy, goods and services grows. The formation of this vicious and detrimental positive feedback cycle further exacerbates the issues we face in relation to the environment. Affordable and efficient sources of renewable energy can assist efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and pave a way to a sustainable method of energy production to which can meet the growing demands within developing countries. This thesis business plan delves into the international expansion of Iberdrola into Colombia in the bid to set up a subsidiary, to reinforce the renewable energy industry within a developing economy. Within this thesis, an introductory passage is provided in addition with an in-depth examination from an external and internal view of the Colombian market. Moreover, a detailed financial analysis of the expansion is established along with the marketing and legal developments necessary to explore the internationalisation of Iberdrola to Colombia. It can be concluded, after the following research, that such a plan would be feasible to enable and enhance renewable energy within Colombia, with innovative entry methods through the auctions and PPA’s.

This Master Thesis Project presents a comprehensive business plan for Plastic Entropy, a biotech startup aiming to address global plastic waste pollution through a sustainable and innovative solution that uses patented enzymes to biodegrade plastic waste, particularly PET plastic. The thesis explores ways of licensing this technology globally, and the company's market entry strategy for India, a country grappling with significant plastic waste issues. It outlines Plastic Entropy's value proposition, target market, marketing strategy, and financial projections. The plan also emphasises the importance of partnerships, digital presence, and continuous R&D for the company's success.
